My Country Tis of Thee

My country tis of thee

Sweet land of liberty

Please hear my plea!

How can we truly thrive

When ruled by corporate pride

Cash in a lobbyist’s side

Re-finance this!

My destined country thee

Said no to tax for tea

Rise up once more!

What would our founders say

At our health not-for-care

Wars by our taxes pay

Flabber-gasted!

Our voices shall not cease

Citizen media not sleaze

The time is now!

May the truth now awake

Political lies can’t escape

We the people at stake

Transparency!

Income disparity

Quenches our liberty

Sacred econ!

Attention to our plight

Kind use of our might

From darkness to the light

Democracy!
